Reed Warbler Acrocephalus scirpaceus 23rd June 2015
Reed Warblers are a fairly common sight all over Hersey Nature Reserve but they are usually too far away for photographic purposes and they don’t tend to keep still for very long either. I was very fortunate to catch these birds near the entrance to the reserve whilst they were busy collecting food, presumably to feed their young judging by by the noise when they returned to the nesting sites.
